When trying to choose IP address ranges for a small network spanning multiple sites, try this method:
- Select a name for each site (usually named after its geographical location [e,g. city or suburb])
- Take the first letter of each site, and convert it to its ASCII value. For example, if a site was called Auckland, you would take the "A" and convert it to 65 using the ASCII table below.
- Form the network 192.168.<code>.0, for our Auckland example, the network would be 192.168.65.0
